Yes, really! But hear us out...

Like many DMs, I started with the time-honoured tradition of scribbling names on paper and frantically adding up damage numbers whilst my players debated whether a +2 sword counts as magical (it does, Alec). Session after session of losing track of whose turn it was and accidentally killing the wrong goblin, I decided to build something better.

This Initiative Tracker was born from pure necessity—a tool to help me run my own games without the mental gymnastics. I started with the beautiful simplicity of "who goes when" and "how dead are they," then carefully added features that actually matter. No bloat, no unnecessary complexity, just the tools you need to run epic combats without losing your sanity.

Whether you're a minimalist DM who just wants to track turn order, or someone who loves managing every hit point, temporary bonus, and death save, this tool scales with your style. Because at the end of the day, we're all just trying to tell better stories—and maybe remember whether the orc has 3 HP or 30 HP left.
